Nonsense

The green bud squirmed in the wind
while the world awoke around it.
The small child eagerly blew the
dandelion puffs into the air.

The dandelions sprouted through the yard
while the child went laughing with friends.
The grown leaf waved lazily in the breeze
while the world lived around it.

The world fell asleep slowly
as the child walked to class.
The red leaf, curled with death,
lay on the stems of dying dandelions.

The world napped and woke up through time
and the child attended and left school.
The leaf never returned to say hello
to the dandelions growing in the grass.
