Much Ado about... Packing

Life is full of ado. Much ado, little ado, sometimes about something and sometimes about nothing. Ado means bustle, or fuss. In acquiescence to two dear friends, I'm writing down some of the ado my life is going to see for the next two years...

Starting with packing.

I could not even believe how much stuff I had to purchase. I'm a thrifty person. If generic is just as good, then by all means lets save a little money... ("my fa-tha recently died and left me some Monayy" oh mickey blue eyes!) because saving money is always a plus. Or even better, if its almost full at home, or its mostly working, why not just take that? But even after all that, we had a FULL shopping cart. Boarding school is great, but thank goodness I didn't go for 4 years!
Now that I've made most of my final purchases, it should just be stuff and go. Not so with me. I make a list of everything that goes in a box. find each thing. cross it off the list. Organize it so that it is efficiently packed. put it in the box. double cross off each thing. Time spent: 20 minutes. I feel like I need professional movers!
Unfortunately, everything is compounded by the fact that I just made new friends while I was on my mission trip, and that I'm going to miss my best friends still at home. So take another 20 minutes out of each evening for the torrential pouring from my worn out tear ducts.
All this packing leaves me exhausted. I dread moving in.
