I moved in Saturday. It is now Tuesday. I have yet to start classes. I have, however, begun to waste away to a smidgeon of my former personality as they are persuaded to execute us all by lecture. We have had 4 solid days (minus a few hours for church) of orientation. Ethics, honor, computer honor, academics, health, athletics, ethics and honor, computer ethics, academics and ethics, safety, etc...
As you can see, they really care about us being ethical - although if we go for too much longer, I will be very unethical and step on someone's foot... making the whole process very redundant- in our daily life here at school.
Listening to a lecture is never fun, but its especially difficult when all you want to do is meet the new people all around you! I still don't know everyone's name. However, classes do start soon and meals are always fun... except breakfast. We're all dead at breakfast.
Off the tangent, I understand us needing to know all this. Its important for us to lead relatively normal lives and that can't happen if we have an armed intruder and no one knows what to do... Slowly, so slowly I will regain what is being crushed ( aka my soul ) and embark as a new person, a very ethical person (as my former self apparently only wanted to steal, cheat, and lie [occasionally murder people but you know, you only have so much time] my way through this school), into the wide school world I have just entered.
**I do not actually have any intent to lie, cheat, or steal (or the occasional murder) through this school. This note is for all teachers&staff who have found this blog. Also, I really love the lectures. They are quite fascinating.**
